Happy 4th of July!

Agile Intrepid Pro

Guitars for July 4th

We hope everyone is having a great July 4th!  Did you know that Washington had an 8 string and like to play a little death metal now and then?

Well what better way to celebrate Independence Day than by buying a new guitar.  Yes nothing says Independence more than being able to get your own axe!

Check out the Agile Intrepid Pro 72730

As you can see from the picture above, the Agile Intrepid Pro is a mean looking piece of business!

This is not your father’s 4th of July guitar!

Agile Intrepid ProIf you haven’t checked it out then do yourself a favour and check it out.

This multi-scale guitar has a scale of 27 to 30 inches and a 5 piece neck thru design so it basically kicks ass.  The double cutaways let your big fat sausages get up into those upper frets with ease.

Speaking of frets, they are fixed onto an ebony fretboard with no markers.  So if you can’t tell what fret you are in you are SOL!

And if that is a deal breaker for you then the Agile Intrepid Pro does have fret markers on the side.

The body of the Agile Intrepid Pro 72730 is made out of mahogany with dual angled active Cepheus 8 pickups and a custom Cepheus saddle bridge.

Don’t take our word for it go check it out for yourself.  Once again Agile has made a stellar guitar at a killer price point.

Agile Pendulum Pro Multiscale

Agile GuitarsAgile Pendulum Pro Multiscale 82527

It all started when we came across this picture and did a little re-gram action with it.

Yes we know it is actually a 10 string Agile but, as of the writing, Rondo music is only offering 10 string guitars from the custom shop so you can’t actually buy this guitar right now.

Enter the Agile Pendulum Pro 82527

Anyhow, we decided the next best thing would be the Agile Pendulum Pro multiscale 82527.  It is almost as badass as the 10 string but…well to say it is less badass is not really fair.  The Agile Pendulum Pro 82527 is very badass in it’s own right!

There is something about this guitar that just looks menacing.  This is one of the things that just draws people to this guitar and is one of the things that we like about this guitar.

The menacing warrior-like look of this guitar makes you feel like it is ready to slay all eardrums that come into its path.

Yes we know this meme is from Gamergate, for those of you that know what that is, but it really captures how the Agile Pendulum Pro 82527 makes uCheap Agile Guitarss feel.

This multi scale beast is a 5 piece neck thru body guitar.  The body is mahogany with ebony fretboard. Due to the multi scale design you get an angled nut and angled pickups.

Speaking of pickups both are EMG 909 actives.  As with all Agile guitars Grover tuners are standard equipment.

The Agile Pendulum Pro 82527 weighs in at an adequate 10 pounds.  We could say more but don’t take our word for it.

Go Check it Out For Yourself!

The Legacy Continues

Last year Rondomusic introduced the Agile Legacy guitar model. An awesome 6 string guitar at a very affordable price.

Well for 2017 the legacy of the Agile Legacy continues in a new Legacy multi-scale offering.

Before we get going on the details can we just stop and say that this guitar is absolutely beautiful! The natural wood grain of the 3mm burl-maple top of this guitar is real easy on the eyes!

Onto the details!

Agile Legacy 62527The official name is the Agile Legacy 62527. What that means is the Legacy is a multi-scale 25 1/2 – 27” drop top guitar. The multi-scale design makes for a uniform string tension, perfect intonation and great sound.

Just look at the detail on this guitar how the finish transitions from left to right.

The body is a light weight mahogany with a uniform neck profile with rosewood fretboard and dual-action adjustable truss rod.

As for hardware the Agile Legacy multi-scale 62527 comes with Cepheus T-6 multi-scale wide throw tune-O-matic bridge with graphite saddles.

The strings are run in a string through body bridge with offset configuration. The tuners are Grover rotomatic’s with 18-1 ration.

The pickups are Cepheus passive 6 string humbucker pickups which Agile owners will be very familiar with.

And in case you were wondering the Legacy 62527 has a bolt on neck.

This is just a little bit of the information on this badass so go and check it out for yourself!

2016 Election

I Got A Post Election Fever And The Only Prescription Is To Buy A Guitar.

The 2016 Election is Over!

Lawd have mercy!  What we all have just witnessed and gone through over the last 18 months, especially the last couple, has been one for the ages!

We don’t know about you but over here we have been sucked into this action packed, high drama, ultra suspenseful thriller of a movie, also known as the 2016 Presidential Election.  It was almost like a car wreck that you just couldn’t look away from.

Even though it is over now in some respects it feels like the real work has just started as one chapter is about to come to an end and a new one is about to start in the United States.

Tempers are still running high for people, most being able to keep it beneath the surface, while others are unable to stop their’s from spilling over.

We can only hope that after initial fallout from the results that cooler heads can prevail and people can move forward.  We believe they will as moving forward is what America has always done.

If you find yourself still somewhat uptight, anxious, happy, sad, peaceful or nervous about the outcome may we suggest it may be time to treat yourself and buy that new guitar you have had your eye on.

Think of it as a way to get this country back on track.  Music not only brings people together but can help to calm people down also.

Agile Traveler

Agile Traveler

And Now For Something Completely Different…

The Agile Traveler is a high quality short scale travel guitar.

Agile TravelerYou travel alot and this takes you away from your favourite pastime of playing guitar. Your guitar is too bulky and expensive to risk checking it in at baggage for fear that it will be damaged by the oh so careful baggage handlers or warp from changing altitude and environment.

Somehow you wish you could have the best of both worlds. You need a guitar that is lightweight, small and built with travelling in mind.

Well the Agile Traveller might be the guitar for you!

Alright it is kind of a weird looking guitar but it is made with a purpose in mind. That purpose being travel, which accounts for the very unique shape of the Agile Traveler and the short scale of it.

The Goods:

The Agile Traveler starts off with a body made of mahogany which has been chopped and hollowed to make the body light weight.

Considering all things Agile really succeeded in reducing the weight of the guitar because it comes in at a very anemic 4 pounds.Agile Traveler

This makes the Agile Traveler perfect for travel as it won’t break your back as you carry it through the airport.

The guitar really is basic. In addition, to the mahogany body, it has a rosewood fretboard with a neck made of nato wood and dot inlays on the fretboard to finish it off.

You get one volume control and one ceramic humbucker pickup. One other nice thing about the Agile Traveler is that it has separate outputs for an amplifier and headphones.

This is handy if you just want to noodle around on your guitar through your headphones while you are waiting for your flight!

It looks to have Grover tuners on the headstock but the official description of the guitar doesn’t explicitly say this.

All in all it is a compact, light design ready for the avid guitar player that may have to travel a lot for their day job.

The Agile Traveler is a nice little guitar for $225.

Check it out HERE.

Agile Septor Elite 728: The Shocking Truth!

Agile Septor Elite 728

A Quality 7 String Guitar at an Affordable Price!

How many guitars is enough?  Just one more!

Well if you are looking for your next guitar and want it to be a 7 string, and want it to be super affordable, than you should do yourself a favour and go check the Agile Septor Elite 728.

This guitar is finished in a very sharp looking black flame and, as the Rondo website claims, is designed based on the specifications requested by their customers.

So what are these specifications that all these customers are requesting?

Septor Elite 728Well first off the body of the Agile Septor Elite 728 is offered in a light weight, double cutaway configuration made of mahogany with an arch top body.  Finishing it off is the Canadian maple flamed top.

As the 728 suggests the scale of the Septor Elite is 28 5/8″.  The fretboard is also constructed of ebony and One of the real standout features of the Septor Elite 728 is that it features a 5 piece neck thru body design.  As the Rondo site claimsfret markers are noticeably absent but rather located on the side of the neck giving the guitar a very clean look.

“The sturdy neck thru construction allows for easier access to the upper frets, provides greater sustain and keeps the instrument in tune longer.”

The pickups that come with the Septor Elite 728 are EMG 707’s, which Rondo’s site say are made in the USA.  The EMG’s help to give a thicker more fuller sound than single coils, yet no 7 string guitar worth a lick really comes with single coil pickups anyhow.
In addition the guitar has a dual adjustable truss rod in the neck so you can “tune” the neck to compensate if the neck gets out of whack because you are in a particularly humid or dry climate.

Of course, standard on all Agile guitars is Grover tuners with an 18 to 1 ratio.  The headstock on the guitar is reversed to give it that metal look and instead of floating tremolo’s that go out of tune this is a string through body guitar.

Overall, the Agile Septor Elite 728 has a lot to offer at a reasonable price.  This guitar is offered on the Rondo site for a really good deal.

If it happens to be too rich for your blood than no worries because Rondo has a ton of other 7 string guitars with great features at all different prices.   We are sure you will find something to suit your needs.

Don’t click HERE if you don’t want to buy the Agile Septor Elite 728!
